Pärnu Music Festival Opening Concert
Järvi Academy Symphony Orchestra
Conductor Paavo Järvi
Maria Lehtlaan (organ)

The Pärnu Music Festival opening concert will be conducted by Paavo Järvi.
Pärnu Music Festival is making adjustments to its programme, and Paavo Järvi will take over the conducting of the opening concert (on 16 July) from Neeme Järvi.
With this, Paavo Järvi, the world’s third busiest conductor according to Bachtrack, will give five concerts in the Estonian summer capital, conducting not only the Estonian Festival Orchestra but also the Järvi Academy Symphony Orchestra.
In the concert Paavo Järvi and the Järvi Academy Symphony Orchestra will perform the works of Saint-Saëns and Mozart at the opening concert of the Pärnu Music Festival and pay tribute to the 90th birthday of composer Arvo Pärt with a performance of Pärt’s Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten.
The Pärnu Music Festival family wishes Neeme Järvi a good recovery, and we are impatiently waiting his return.
