Kreete Perandi started her French horn studies at the age of 11 at the Tartu Municipal Music School under the guidance of Priit Sonn. She received her upper secondary education at Hugo Treffner Gymnasium in Tartu, graduating in 2008. She also studied at the Heino Eller Tartu Music School (Kaido Otsing’s class) and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Kalervo Kulmala’s class). From 2007 to 2011, Kreete was an orchestra member of the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra, followed by studies at the College of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt, Germany under Esa Tapani (BA, 2016). She obtained a master’s degree from the Munich Academy of Music and Theater under Johannes Hinterholzer (2021). From 2011 to 2014, Kreete was a member of the Baltic Youth Philharmonic and from 2015 to 2016, she was an intern at the Stuttgart Philharmonic. Over the years, she has participated in the work of several ensembles and orchestras in Estonia and abroad, such as the Pärnu City Orchestra, the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the Estonian Festival Orchestra, the Orchestra Purpur, the Bad-Reichenhaller Philharmonie, the Camerata Frankfurt, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg. In December 2018, Kreete won the grand prix at the Estonian Performers’ Competition for Wind Instruments.
