Julia Dinerstein (viola) is one of the most prominent viola teachers in the Netherlands. She works at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts), ArtEZ Academy of Music in Arnhem and Zwolle, Maastricht Conservatory, the Hellendaal Music Institut (Rotterdam), Academy for Musical Talent (Utrecht) and Musica Mundi School (Belgium).
Julia Dinerstein regularly gives summer masterclasses in Europe, USA, China and South America. A great number of her pupils and students became winners of national and international viola competitions. She is regularly invited as a member of the jury in the international competitions.
Dinerstein is a keen chamber musician, she is playing in the Hague String Trio and is also a member of the Zemtsov Viola Quartet. She has recorded CDs with both ensembles.
Dinerstein studied at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory with Elizabeth Gilels and Andrei Korsakov and at the Maastricht Conservatory with Mikhail Kugel.
Julia Dinerstein is the 2nd Prize winner at the Beethoven International Viola Competition (Austria).
