Ingely LAIV-JÄRVI (oboe) started to learn the oboe at the age of 11 at Rakvere Kauri School (under Edvin Lips) and continued her studies at the Tallinn Music High School in 2006 under the supervision of Tulike Loorits and Aleksander Hännikäinen. In 2018, she graduated from professor Thomas Indermühle’s oboe class at the Karlsruhe Higher Music School with a bachelor’s degree. Awards from competitions: 1st place and two special awards at the Estonian competition of musicians for wind instruments (2018), 2nd place at the television competition Stars of Classical Music (2018), the laureate’s title at the chamber music competition In corpore (2015), 3rd place in the national competition for wind and percussion instrument players (2012), 1st place at the competition held to commemorate Eduard Mednis in Latvia (2011). She has taken part in the work of several orchestras in Estonia and abroad (Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Württemberg Philharmonic of Reutlingen, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Karlsruhe Chamber Orchestra, Estonian Festival Orchestra, JSB Ensemble (Stuttgart), Absolute Ensemble, Baltic Sea Philharmonic, Ensemble Voces Musicales). Ingely is currently employed as the principal oboe of the Estonian National Opera. Ingely has performed as a soloist with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, the Virumaa Chamber Orchestra, and the Pärnu City Orchestra. She is also an active chamber musician.
