Born in Tallinn, Elina Nechayeva (soprano) has studied classical singing at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she obtained her master’s degree (2016). Nechayeva can be heard and seen in a variety of projects both in Estonia and abroad; she performs classical music and crossover concerts with the best conductors and orchestras. Nechayeva has also appeared on the opera and theatre stages in roles such as Eurydice (Offenbach’s Orphée aux enfers (Orpheus in the Underworld)) and The Queen of Night (Mozart’s The Magic Flute) at the Estonian National Opera or Eliza Doolittle (Loewe’s My Fair Lady) at the Russian Theatre in Tallinn. In 2014, Nechayeva was one of the three finalists of the TV competition “Klassikatähed” (“Classical Stars”) and in 2018 she represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon.
