Artur Podlesnyi started playing violin at the age of six under the tuition of his father. He embarked on his professional education at the Russian Academy of Music (Moscow) and continued at the Robert Schumann Academy (Düsseldorf) where he graduated in 2006. Artur is prize winner of various violin and chamber music competitions, including the P. Vladigerov Violin Competition (Bulgaria) and Shostakovich Competition (Moscow). His career as an orchestral musician began in 2002 with the Düsseldorf Symphoniker, continuing one year later with the Essen Philharmonic. Since 2008 Artur has played first violin with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony and from the start of the 2016/2017 season has been Co-Principal concert-master of the Frankfurt Museum and Opera Orchestra. Alongside his orchestral activities Artur regularly performs solo and chamber music concerts and will join the Haba Quartet (Frankfurt am Main) in the next season.
