Adrian Diaz Martinez was born in 1991 in Madrid, where he also received a primary musical education. In 2017, he completed his Master’s studies at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin under Marie-Luise Neunecker. The young French horn player, who has received numerous awards, has already made an international career in several orchestras. Since 2014, the bass group’s French horn player has a fixed place in the West German Broadcasting Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and in the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra from 2019. Diaz Martinez has also collaborated with several other well-known orchestras, such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Berlin Staatskapelle and the Cappella Andrea Barca. He has performed at prestigious festivals, including the Zermatt and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania festivals.

 Diaz Martinez is also an experienced music teacher: he has been teaching French horn at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre since 2017 and became a professor of French horn at the Lübeck Academy of Music in 2021.

In 2018, Martinez released his first album Avantgarde with pianist Ikuko Odai. This year, the duo plans to release another album called Manu Scriptum.
