Theodor Sink is a versatile interpreter who is appreciated for his warm tone and natural musical expression. He is in great demand as a soloist, a chamber musician, and as a bandsman, having been awarded laureate titles in Estonia, as well as abroad. As a soloist, Theodor has collaborated extensively with the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, the Pärnu City Orchestra, and with the orchestra of UvA Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck at the Concertgebouws concert held in Amsterdam, Holland.
He sets no limits to himself regarding genre, which is why he has acquired an extensive repertoire of different eras, ranging from J. S. Bach, J. Haydn to K. Saariaho, E.-S. Tüür, and P. Vasks. Concerts have taken him to difference countries across Europe, such as Austria, the Netherlands, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, etc.
In addition, he is active in several groups, having collaborated with many world-renowned figures, such as David Geringas, Georgy Anichenko, Marina Chiche, etc.
He has studied the cello under the guidance of Leho Karin and Henry-David Varema, and later at the Sibelius Academy in Marko Ylönen’s cello class. He has also improved himself under Lluis Claret and Patrick Demenga. He is currently working at the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra.
