Taniel KIRIKAL (bass-baritone-counter tenor-overtone singer). As a freelance musician, he has participated in the work of most of the Estonian early music ensembles in the past 30 years.
His repertoire mainly includes works ranging from Gregorian chant and the Notre Dame School to 20th century minimalists and contemporary composers.
Several Estonian composers have written works specifically with Taniel Kirikal’s unique ability in mind, in order to unite the qualities of counter tenor and baritone and his skill of overtone singing.
Currently, he is mostly singing with the Vox Clamantis and Heinavanker ensembles.
