Oleg Larionov (viola) Has graduated in 2005 as soloist, chamber ensemble
and orchestra musician from Saint Petersburg State Conservatory where studied viola with professor Andrey Dogadin and professor Vladimir Stopichev. During 2004-2011 Mr. Larionov has worked at Mariinsky Theatre opera and symphony orchestra as viola deputy-leader with solo and leader Assignments. As a soloist he had cooperated with the orchestra of Rimsky-Korsakov School of Music, Joensuu Conservatory Orchestra, Korean Prime Philharmonic Orchestra and Classical Concert Chamber Orchestra (USA). Mr. Larionov has
received awards at National and International chamber music competitions. He had given recitals at Saint-Petersburg Filharmonic, Mariinsky Concert Hall, Smolny Cathedral; recital followed by masterclass in South Korea and in Finland.
Currently Mr. Larionov has a permanent co-principal viola positions at Lahti Symphony Orchestra in Finland. In April 2016 in Kuopio he performed Paganini as viola soloist with symphony orchestra. In Spring 2017 he was chosen to play Shostakovitch string quartet nr.8 together with yung tallented cellist Jonathan Roozeman.
Oleg Larionov has made a recording of Russian music for viola and piano
together with pianist Maria Kamchilina-Larionova for Bomba-Piter label in 2014.
Oleg Larionov`s vivid and deep interest in classical music has eventually lead him to composition which he studies under the guidance of professor Sergey Slonimsky. His works are published by Music Finland and Kompozitor SPb.
