Karin SARV (viola, Estonia) graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre specialising in viola performance (BA, instructed by Viljar Kuusk) in 2006 and received her Master’s degree from the same institution (instructed by Peeter Paemurru) in 2011.
She has furthered her education at several masterclasses (by A. Dobrovski, Ch. Euler, A.-L. Kangas, H. Frendin, T. Fredriksen, W. Klos, F. Sonnleitner and others) and participated in the work of various orchestras (Estonian National Opera Estonia, Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra, ERSO, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra) and ensembles (string quartet Muusa, Precioso, guitarist Heiki Mätlik’s ensemble, YXUS Ensemble, Fresh, etc.) as well as performed with international youth orchestras and ensembles (in Sweden, Germany, Slovenia).
In 2013 and 2014 respectively, Karin Sarv participated in performing K. Stockhausen’s Herbstmusik and Tierkreis, which were very successful. From 2005 to 2012 Sarv worked as the third concertmaster of the Estonian National Opera’s viola section and performed solos at performances as well. As of 2012 Karin Sarv has worked at the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra.
